SBC의 주요 목적은 초등학생들에게 영어 원서 읽기 습관을 기르게 하고, 다양한 원서를 함께 읽고  영어로 의견을 나눔으로써 독서의 즐거움과 깊이를 더해주는 것입니다.

또한, 다른 학생들과의 교류를 통해 다양한 시각을 배우고 서로의 생각을 존중하는 기회를 제공합니다. 이를 통해 학생들은 비판적 사고력과 글로벌 커뮤니케이션 능력을 향상시키는 동시에, 창의적이고 다면적인 사고를 기를 수 있습니다.

Our main goal is to cultivate a regular reading habit in English and to enhance students’ enjoyment through interactive group discussions.

Through these sessions, students will learn about inclusivity and diverse perspectives, which will enhance their critical thinking and global communication skills, while also fostering creative and multifaceted approaches to problem-solving.

또한, SBC에서는 특정 주제의 도서를 읽고, 이를 바탕으로 한 다양한 활동(프로젝트, 글쓰기, 토론 등)을 통해 학생들의 영어 사용 능력을 체계적으로 향상시키고자 합니다. 이를 통해 학생들은 영어를 단순한 학습 과목이 아닌, 실제 상황에서 자연스럽게 활용할 수 있는 능력을 배양하게 될 것입니다.

Furthermore, in SBC, students read books on specific topics and engage in various activities (projects, writing, discussions, etc.) to systematically improve their English language skills. Through these activities, students will develop the ability to naturally apply English in real-life situations, rather than viewing it as a mere subject to study.

• 대상 : INU 교직원 자녀 + 일반 자녀(영어 원서를 읽고 영어 토론에 참여할 수 있는 초등 3~6학년생)
• 기간 : 매주 토요일 4주 과정
• 모집반: 초등3학년반(10명), 초등4학년반(10명), 초등5- 6학년반(10명).

• Who: Children of INU Faculty and Staff, as well as children from the general public (Students in grades 3 through 6 who are proficient in reading English-language books and participating in English discussions)
• Period: Every Saturday, 4 sessions
• Classes: 3rd grade (10 students), 4th grade (10 students), 5th & 6th grades (10 students)

  • At SBC, two native English-speaking teachers work together to enhance the quality of instruction.
  • By collaborating with one lead teacher and one assistant teacher, we maintain a teacher-to-student ratio of 1:5, creating an environment where students can use English more frequently and actively.

• This process is an essential step to ensure thorough class preparation by our native English-speaking teachers and to facilitate smooth class progression.
• The submitted video will be used solely for internal class preparation purposes, and your child’s personal information will be strictly protected. Please be advised that failure to submit the video may result in the cancellation of the registration.

• Opening Conditions: If the number of children of INU Faculty and Staff does not meet the required class size (10 students), the inclusion of non-INU Faculty and Staff children will be considered for the program’s opening.
• SBC actively recruits new students after the completion of each 4-week program in order to provide more students with the opportunity to enjoy reading a variety of English books and share their opinions in English.
